Paignton Bike Festival - WOW!

Wow, how do these guys pull it off? I’m talking about those behind the annual  BMAD (Bikers Make A Difference) BIKE FESTIVAL held in Paignton, North Devon.  This year was the second time I’ve attended the event, and it didn’t disappoint.  Despite the threat of rain, it turned out to be a complete success. The BMAD group did themselves proud.

As the name implies BMAD is a charity supporting bikers group  who raise funds  for the likes of Devon’s Air Ambulance amongst others.  Monies raised for Charity at this years event totalled around £20,000. Not bad considering the event is free and people put donations in buckets carried around by the volunteer bikers who help out.

It is an event that attracts more than 10,000 bikers. Every conceivable type of Bike  and Biker is represented at the event,. From your 1% to your weekend rider. Most of the bigger South West bike shops are also represented, as are plenty of dealerships, t-shirt sellers, custom shops etc.

Events take place throughtout the weekend including, stunt riding; amazing, bands; excellent, wall of death; amazing.

The BMAD group also organises  regular Bike Nights in Paignton. The best thing to do is look at their website and make contact.  BSH and 100% Biker regularly list BMAD events.
